i’m back to being vegetarian. i’ve gone three days now. i don’t know how i went a full year as a vegetarian and fell back into my old habits so quickly.
i was kind of tempted today, but i know that in a week or two not eating meat will become second nature again. i felt so much better when i was, i was able to maintain my weight loss and lose weight easier while being a vegetarian, my skin was clearer, i thought more clearly, and i need to remind myself of these things. it’ll be much better for me in the long run.
i think i might be able to salvage it and just have a weight watchers fiesta quesadilla for dinner, though. or i might just use all of my flex points today. or most of them, at least. it started off fine, but then i went to the mall and split a large pretzel bites with cheese. and then i got a chocolate chunk cookie from starbucks. :(
does anyone have any tips for giving up sugary drinks? coke i’m having an easy time giving up (though i’ve been drinking coke zero- baaad) but i cannot find myself going a day without a tropical citrus vitamin water. it has become a serious problem. so much sugar in those. ugh.
also— has anyone tried to quit smoking? any tips on how i can as well?
i just need to remind myself that i’ve DONE THIS ALL BEFORE. and i’ve lost 70 pounds because of it. i was like a well-oiled machine. i need to figure out why i stopped, and make THAT stop. jeeze.
it was kind of hilarious.
what i’ve eaten today:
a Healthy Choice Lemon Pepper Fish: 6 pts
1 Vitamin Water: 3 pts
Skinny vanilla latte with soy milk: 2 pts
Gardein Chicken Tenders: 4 pts
Sweet potato fries: 2 pts
A small caesar salad with light caesar dressing: 2 pts
Ketchup: 1 pt
So I have FOUR points left. Three of those points will be for a vitamin water (I need to stop that…) but if I get hungry in the middle of the night (because I’m always up until the wee hours of the morning) I have four activity points cradling my sanity.
Let’s hear it for an awesome day!
OH BUT I can’t weigh myself because the battery on my scale ran out and every place to buy even a battery is 20 minutes away :( :( :(
from saturday night until just yesterday.
let’s hear it for that great comeback i was supposed to have!!!!
i’ll be posting regularly starting tomorrow.
I’ve been doing really well!
Yesterday I went to my grandmother’s birthday party, I hadn’t eaten anything before (it was around 5pm by the time I got there) so I was STARVING and I was afraid I would go overboard. But I didn’t! I had a veggie meatball sub (I did have cheese on it and regular bread, but hey— I’m not gonna deprive myself of a lot of things and I hardly eat cheese anyways) with a salad on the side. I DID have an apple cider doughnut afterward, but after that I had nothing. Though I didn’t count yesterday, I know I was still around my point target.
Today I had two veggie meatballs on a hot dog bun with sauce, a fortune cookie and a coke zero. I still have 17 points left.
I know that when I saw I was 169, I had just started my period. So I know I will lose five pounds or more, but not from diet, when I weigh in on Wednesday. I’ll just be excited to see it safely back in the 160s!

I somehow find this band to be PERFECT for listening to when I clean my room. I don’t get it. ANYWAYS. I’ve eaten pretty awesomely today, but I’ve yet to have dinner. I’ve had two vitamin waters though (whoops), but I still have 9 points to spare for dinner and a small snack. YES.
What I’ve eaten today:
Breakfast: half of a Fit and Active protein meal bar (3 pts)
Two vitamin waters throughout the day (6 pts)
Lunch: half of a morningstar farms veggie rib sandwich on a sandwich thin (3 pts)
and those green giant (maybe not?) cauliflower with cheese things for zero points
Snack: 8 pretzel twists (2 pts)
So… so far I’ve eaten 14/23 points, with 9 to spare, like I’ve said before. I think for dinner I’m just gonna have an everything bagel (which is five points) with veggies on it.
Can’t screw this shit up, I tell you.
If anyone’s confused, I’m doing the momentum program, not the newest plus points program. This is what I used to lose 70 pounds, it works for me. I’ma keep at it, yo.
